Michelle Alba-Chua brings more than two decades of leadership experience motivating cross-functional teams and implementing strategic initiatives that have generated a powerful blend of profitable and continuous improvement methods critical to enterprise growth in the technology industry. Michelle has a proven track record leading and developing diverse teams, driving sustainable growth in highly competitive environments, and building customer and business partner relationships.

She earned a reputation for financial and operational excellence, teaching critical business concepts such as the interconnectedness of business operations and financial performance which impacts high-level organizational decision making. Her trademark is her ability to unravel complex challenges, cultivate trust, and apply financial acuity while delivering no non-sense, balanced results.

In her current role as Senior Director of Business Development for Comcast in the California Region, Michelle is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, leading a diverse team focusing on strategic network expansion efforts to include future residential and commercial growth opportunities, working closely with developers and municipalities, and bringing industry-leading connectivity service to rural markets.

Michelle is a great example of someone who stepped up and took ownership of her career growth. She first began her career with Comcast in 2003 as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and has held multiple positions of increasing responsibility including Director of Finance Operations for Comcast California and most recently serving as Senior Director of Business Operations for Comcast Business, California. She has made many significant accomplishments for Comcast in California region, including recently being named a West Division Circle of Success Product Innovation winner and Delta Award Customer Experience winner.

Michelle was born and raised in Manila, Philippines of Filipino-Chinese descent. She speaks fluent Tagalog. As an active Employee Resource Group member, she was a co-founder and board member of the National Advisory Council of Asian Pacific Americans (APA) for Comcast. Michelle is a recipient of the National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Award. She is actively engaged in her son’s school Diversity and Inclusion program and serves as a mentor and honorary member of the International Society of Filipinos in Finance and Accounting (ISFFA). She is an ambassador of Internet Essentials, Comcast’s low-cost high-speed Internet service for low-income families, veterans, senior citizens and community college students to enhance digital literacy and community advancement. She is a member of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) and National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). She also actively supports Kids Against Hunger, Feed My Starving Children and Contra Costa County Food Bank. Michelle was as a professional model from 1997 to 1998 for Penshoppe, a global fashion retail brand.

Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from De La Salle University, graduating Cum Laude. And she holds an Executive MBA degree from Saint Mary’s College of California, graduating with Honor distinction. Michelle lives in California with her husband, two sons and their golden doodle. She loves traveling the world with family and friends, canyoneering, white-water rafting, dancing Salsa and Bachata, aerial yoga, Pilates, concerts, and theater.
